|On Sacred Ground|
|Introducing "On Sacred Ground"|
This month Tavern Talk will launch a compelling new series entitled, “On Sacred Ground”. It will consist of short, intimate stories about the sacred places where Meher Baba lived and worked with His mandali at Meherabad and Meherazad. Through these weekly vignettes, many of which have never been published, we hope you will find that the outlines of the buildings and grounds here become filled with the Presence of the unique life of the Avatar.
A dozen or so writers, most of whom are long-time residents of Meherabad and Meherazad, are participating. Each has chosen a special moment, often drawn from stories told them by the mandali, which occurred on the sacred ground of Meherabad or Meherazad.
Once each cycle of time, the Avatar graces His creation with His physical presence. The earth under His feet, the buildings in which He dwelt and worked, and the objects He touched all become Sacred Ground to those thirsting to know Him. We hope you will find this series both fun to read and inspiring to ponder.
