WHERE THE AWAKENER SLEPT....
Pilgrims at Meherabad and Meherazad enjoy the walking tours of the places connected with Beloved Baba’s life, whether guided by the trained volunteers who give facts and stories about each stopping point, or walking around on their own, imbibing the richness of His Presence. A recent addition available on Meherabad Hill is Baba’s early bedroom, which has been renovated and is open for pilgrims to see. It makes us wonder: where are all the various places Baba slept at Meherabad? Here then is a virtual photo-tour of some of the "bedrooms" where the Awakener, Avatar Meher Baba, slept at Meherabad.
At lower Meherabad:
The corner of the Dharamshala building..
The Post Office (no longer there)
The Jhopdi (where He began His Silence)
The Table House, where He wrote His Universal Scripture for the world (the location of the Book is currently unknown)
And up Meherabad Hill, some of His bedrooms were:
Baba's early bedroom inside the Meherabad compound
Inside the same room, now open for pilgrims
The "Dome" (formerly a crypt, now Beloved Baba's Samadhi)
Baba's Cabin (titled "Baba's Room") next to the Samadhi
Enjoy the tour! Avatar Meher Baba ki Jai.
