|Avatar Meher Baba's 45th Amartithi|
As many Baba-lovers know, Amartithi was observed at Meherabad from 30th January to 1st February 2014.
Below are some glimpses of Amartithi that capture different views of the pilgrims, volunteers, performers and places that transform Baba's Meherabad for this most sacred occasion every year. Over 18,476 people signed in to spend the night on the 30th in tents, buildings, New Site and New New Site at Meherabad, as well as many who stayed at the expanded MPR, the MPC and homes and hotels nearby. These were joined by several thousand day-visitors who came for the Silence observed by all from 12 noon to 12:15 p.m. on January 31st.
The months of preparation, the efforts of volunteers, the journeys of pilgrims from faraway places: all this is to participate in the unique atmosphere that takes over Meherabad by Beloved Baba's Love and grace on the day that He dropped His Body, 31st January 1969, to live in the hearts of His lovers.
